Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team at Alsana, a leading eating disorder recovery community. As a Registered Dietitian, you will play a critical role in providing nutrition therapy to clients with eating disorders and co-existing medical conditions and psychiatric diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial and weekly client nutritional assessments, create therapeutic and individualized client meal plans, and lead individual and group sessions with clients based on level of care.
  • Collaborate with chefs to ensure accurate meal planning and education for clients.
  • Develop and lead regular nutrition psycho-education groups, focusing on the Alsana nutrition philosophy of balancing nourishment and pleasure to help clients restore a positive relationship with food and body.
  • Manage movement activities according to programming, under the direction of the lead RD, and provide individualized movement goals for each client.
  • Provide guidance and support to clients with real-life nutrition tasks, such as meal planning, grocery shopping, menu ordering, kitchen skills, and cooking.
  • Communicate regularly with outpatient referral treatment teams through weekly email updates.
  • Work with the culinary team to develop quality measures for food served, striving for 90% excellent ratings in food-related perception of care surveys.
  • Engage in ongoing education related to nutrition therapy for the eating disorder population.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Services, nursing, program director, or lead RD.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited program and registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • At least 1 year of experience working as a Registered Dietitian, preferably with eating disorder clients.
  • Experience working as an active member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team.
  • Strong interest in eating disorder or behavioral health nutrition care.

Compensation

Salary range: $55,000 - $65,000.
