Position Overview

ATLAS SP is seeking a senior developer to support the CRO organization and help build out a data and reporting ecosystem that enables us to scale our business while maintaining control and appropriate oversight.

The individual will design and build the company-wide strategic risk platform supporting the Market, Credit and Counterparty risk areas. This will involve developing complex dashboards to visualize multiple risk metrics, designing workflows and approval processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze and integrate diverse data sources.

The successful candidate will have extensive development experience with technologies like Python, JSON, Java, .NET, and agile development experience. They will also be responsible for ensuring data quality and consistency, leveraging expertise in database management, data processing, and analytics to develop and optimize data pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex ecosystem of legacy systems
  • Design and develop multiple BI dashboards showing relevant risk metrics
  • Build approval and monitoring workflows for BAU activities
  • Architect and scale a modern data platform that consumes data from multiple internal sources and vendors
  • Enhance the data model taking into account industry best practices and stakeholder needs
  • Build and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to efficiently process large volumes of data
  • Partner with CRO business stakeholders to understand and deliver business requirements
  • Implement monitoring systems to ensure data quality
  • Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing the product

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years experience supporting market, credit or counterparty risk organizations
  • 10+ years of proven experience as a senior software developer
  • 10+ years of experience using common BI tools including Tableau, Alteryx, Microsoft Power BI etc.
  • 5+ years of proven experience working with cloud technology (preferably Azure), data models, API design, API development
  • 5+ years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake)
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with SQL database design
  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
  • Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
  • 10+ years of extensive development experience with technologies like: Python, JSON, Java, .NET
  • Agile development experience
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
  • Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets
  • Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable 'big data' data stores is a plus

Compensation

The estimated base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $225,000 per year, based on various factors including job function, level, and geographic location. The actual salary will be determined by the company's compensation policies and may vary based on individual qualifications and experience.
