Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Class A Driver/Transport to join our team at Core-Mark, a leading provider of fresh and broad-line solutions to the convenience retail industry. As a Driver/Transport, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of food and food-related products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver and/or unload food and food-related products to customers.
  • Inspect tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed.
  • Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
  • Immediately report all safety hazards and ensure that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured.
  • Unload products from the trailer, transport items into designated customer storage areas, and perform damage control checks on items.
  • Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures, collect money (cash or checks) where required, and complete all necessary paperwork.
Requirements
  • 6+ months commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL-A
  • Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift
