Mannington Mills is seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving materials to and from designated storage areas, stocking materials, and performing routine duties in accordance with established departmental procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Move materials to and from designated storage areas.
  • Stock materials and sort items according to specifications.
  • Pull orders using a forklift based on production needs.
  • Perform routine duties in accordance with established departmental procedures.
  • Perform cycle counts for inventory control.
  • Maintain assigned housekeeping responsibilities.
  • Operate various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, swing reach, electric pallet jack, and ride-on pallet jack.
  • Perform other warehousing functions and duties in accordance with established departmental procedures and/or at direction of supervisor.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 60 lbs.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good basic math and computer skills.
  • Ability to make inventory transactions in a computer system.
  • Ability to work overtime as required to load carriers.
  • Ability to pass a forklift certification test.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Team player with ability to follow instructions, goal-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with sharp deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, push, pull, and reach for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to maneuver around an array of machinery.
  • Use of hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Color and peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Work environment conditions include exposure to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, and loud noise level in some areas of the facility.
  • Ability to quickly respond to a signal when it appears.
  • Ability to wear steel toe shoes, hearing protection, and other assigned PPE for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to work in an efficient and timely manner, multitasking where necessary.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
