Company Overview:
The Clinical Educator functions as a leader in education and serves as a staff development resource and mentor. This role supports collaboration between academic and practice settings and promotes continuous learning and professional development through in-services, education program development, implementation, and evaluation, as well as competency assessment.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for designing, facilitating, and validating education or training experiences. The Clinical Educator demonstrates and promotes evidence-based practice. They are also responsible for ensuring that all areas covered in the Basic Integrated Nursing General Orientation are fully proficient and able to instruct independently.
Requirements:
- Masters of Science in Nursing required
- 7 years of clinical experience in nursing in a hospital setting, including 3 years in acute care/medical-surgical units
- Previous experience designing, facilitating, and validating education or training experiences required
- Fully proficient in all areas covered in Basic Integrated Nursing General Orientation; able to instruct independently
- Proficient in EMR applications, workflows, and documentation practices
- Current Vermont RN and/or Advanced Practice License
- Unit-specific training certifications as required per department operational framework
- BLS Certification through the American Heart Association
- Specialty certification in Nursing Professional Development and one unit-specific certification preferred or to be obtained within two years of hire
