Job Title: Travel OR Tech

Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a skilled OR Tech to join our team for a 13-week assignment. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable healthcare organization and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced OR environment.

Shift and Schedule:

The OR Tech will work variable days, with options for 7a-4:30p or 6a-3:30p shifts, 9x4, 36 hours per week, Monday through Thursday. The OR Tech will also be required to call one weekend per month (Friday 0700-Monday 0700) and approximately one to two weeknights per week based on need and holiday call.

Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience as an OR Tech
  • Must be registered with the board
  • Familiarity with total joints and c-sections

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in OR procedures and excellent communication skills. BLS certification is required, and experience with the MAKO robot is a plus.

Charting System and Other Details:

The OR Tech will be working with the Meditech charting system and will be required to float to other areas unless prior training has been received. The OR Tech will be working with a variety of cases, including adult, pediatrics, geriatrics, and obstetrics. Common cases will include ORTHO - total joints, ORIF, arthroscopy; OB/GYN - c-section, LAVH, D&C, diagnostic lap; and GENERAL - lap appy, lap chole, ex lap.

Estimated Weekly Rate:

$1574 per week, based on qualifications and experience. This rate applies to travel positions only (50+ miles from permanent address).
