Job Summary:

As a Nurse Coordinator at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, you will play a vital role in coordinating and providing safe care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). You will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to ensure the highest level of patient care. In this role, you will direct and coordinate the care of assigned personnel, perform charge duties as assigned, and work collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate patient care in the ICU, ensuring that all necessary treatments and interventions are implemented in a timely and effective manner.
  • Direct and coordinate the care of assigned personnel, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants.
  • Perform charge duties as assigned, including managing the nursing staff, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor patient progress, identifying and addressing any changes or concerns in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Florida Nursing License.
  • American Heart Association approved BLS certification.
  • ACLS, PALS, CPI, and PALS certifications as required by the department.
