Position Summary:

As a Food Production Supervisor, you will oversee the planning, directing, and coordination of production staff to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality food products. Your leadership will be essential in maintaining operational standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and manage meal requirements effectively.
  • Ensure accurate portion control of food items.
  • Oversee the ordering and receipt of food and non-food supplies.
  • Verify that all necessary items are prepared for service.
  • Monitor and manage daily record-keeping by staff.
  • Process and submit payroll accurately.
  • Train, manage, and develop production staff.
  • Collaborate with the lead cook and food service director.
  • Conduct weekly inventory assessments.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in inventory.
  • Create and manage daily production schedules based on menu cycles.
  • Ensure compliance with standardized recipes.
  • Work closely with the food service director on budgeting and accounting.
  • Participate in food quality assurance meetings.
  • Ensure completion of food safety documentation.
  • Monitor labeling for compliance with regulations.
  • Enforce adherence to all relevant regulations.
  • Schedule maintenance for all kitchen equipment.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.S. Degree in Food Services Technology/Management or a related field; or an A.A. Degree with four years of relevant experience.
  • Two to four years of experience in a retirement or adult care setting preferred.
  • Four or more years of management experience in food service operations.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and purchasing.
  • Strong understanding of food trends, quality control, and sanitation practices.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience with profit and loss accountability is a plus.
  • Background in contract-managed services is desirable.
  • High-volume food production experience is preferred.
  • ServSafe certification is advantageous.
