Job Overview:
The Medical Equipment Sterilization Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that all medical and laboratory instruments are effectively and safely sterilized.

In this position, you will oversee the sterilization of all tools and materials utilized within the facility, monitor sterilization equipment to confirm optimal operation, and comply with all safety regulations.

Additionally, you will be tasked with the organized storage of sterilized tools and materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare instruments, materials, and equipment for the sterilization process.
  • Operate and supervise sterilization machinery to guarantee effective sterilization.
  • Track sterilization cycles to ensure the safety and efficacy of sterilization processes.
  • Maintain records of sterilizer performance, alarms, and other sterilization-related activities.
  • Inspect and test sterilized instruments to confirm compliance with sterility standards.
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on sterilization equipment.
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble instruments and equipment following established protocols.
  • Prepare materials for sterilization and manage sterilization supply inventory.
  • Monitor expiration dates on supplies.
  • Document sterilization data and complete all required paperwork.
  • Ensure quality assurance and uphold a safe working environment.
  • Assist with imaging tasks, including x-rays and scans.
  • Support the setup and turnover of workstations for assisting staff.
  • Engage in promotional events as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Working Hours:
Monday – Wednesday 8:45am – 5:00pm
Thursday 7:45am - 4:00pm
Friday 6:45am – 3:00pm
Availability for occasional weekend shifts.
