CAD Drafter Job Summary

Johnson Engineering, Inc. is seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to assist our engineering staff in the Development Market group. As a CAD Drafter, you will play a crucial role in the application of principles, methods, and techniques of civil engineering technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop plan drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D software under the direction of professional staff.
  • Make revisions and obtain approval from project managers.
  • Assist in the preparation of quantities and measurements within drawings.
  • Maintain a database of drawings.
  • Prepare supporting documentation.
  • Distribute drawings to internal project managers.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow team members and clients.
Requirements:
  • Degree from an accredited vocation/technical school in AutoCAD.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Development.
  • Proficiency in Civil Engineering related aspects of AutoCAD Civil3D, including Surface Creation and Design, 3D Pipe Networks, 3D Plan & Profile Drawings, Alignments and Corridors.
  • Experience in design aspects of Civil Engineering Site Development, such as grading, underground utilities, and site planning, is preferred.
  • Deadline-oriented mindset and attention to detail.
  • Ability to sit or stand at a computer monitor for long periods and distinguish shapes and colors.
  • Excellent driving record and a valid Florida driver's license.
