Sanitation Technician Job Description

At WITRON, we're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Technician to join our dynamic team in Temple. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our warehouse remains spotless, safe, and sanitary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general labor tasks to support warehouse operations
  • Sweep, mop, and empty receptacles to maintain a clean environment
  • Conduct routine warehouse maintenance to prevent equipment downtime
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms to maintain a healthy and hygienic environment
  • Handle trash removal and manage corrugated scraps to maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Replenish supplies as needed to ensure a well-stocked facility
  • Clean the dock area to ensure a safe and efficient loading/unloading process
  • Sanitize machinery during PM operations to prevent equipment failure
  • Take on additional tasks as assigned to support the team's efforts
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of custodial experience
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • Practical attitude with a willingness to learn new skills
  • Basic knowledge of safe handling of cleaning products
  • High performance orientation and a sense of urgency about work
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible to work various shifts and weekends as assigned
