Key Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain systems and parts associated with class 6, 7, and 8 powered tractors.
  • Diagnose failures and repair the vehicle's mechanical, electric, and systems.
  • Use hydraulic jacks to gain access underneath vehicles.
  • Assist in the replacements of engines, transmissions, differentials, and springs.
  • Troubleshoot the repairs of heavy-duty truck engines, braking, electrical, and exhaust systems.
  • Document and repair, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with business partners for training and assistance on complex repairs and tasks.
  • Test vehicles after repairs and maintenance to ensure they're functioning properly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of diesel mechanic experience.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic software.
