Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dialysis Nurse Specialist to join our team at Fresenius Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

About the Role

This is an entry-level position that requires a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment. Your primary responsibilities will include assessing patients' medical needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based treatments.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas where support is required.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's unique needs and circumstances.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation of patient progress.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Educate patients and families on proper dialysis techniques, infection control, and overall wellness strategies.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on best practices and emerging trends in dialysis care.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing.
  • At least 1 year of experience in nephrology nursing or a related field.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and willingness to obtain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
