At Phaxis, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. This role will play a critical part in supporting our global consolidation and financial reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Month-End, Quarter-End, and Year-End Closing Activities: Assist in the preparation of management reports and accompanying schedules, ensuring timely and accurate financial data.
  • Financial Statement Review: Review and analyze Group and other legal entity financial statements to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and proper reflection of transactions and consolidations.
  • Overseas Entity Review: Review and understand differences between statutory financials and financials reported to corporate, coordinating with corporate tax to ensure proper accounting for these differences in the tax provision and filings.
  • Consolidation Journal Entries and Reconciliations: Prepare and record consolidation journal entries and reconciliations for month-end closing.
  • Account Fluctuation Analysis: Analyze and document significant account fluctuations for the Corporate Controller and senior leadership.
  • Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations: Review balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting submissions from subsidiaries.
  • Financial Controls: Ensure financial controls practiced by subsidiaries are in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • External Consultant Support: Complete requests from external consultants such as Auditors, Tax consultants, and other financial advisors.
  • Cash Forecasting: Support cash forecasting processes and contribute to the global cash management strategy.
  • Accounting System Design and Maintenance: Assist in the design, modification, implementation, and/or maintenance of accounting systems to ensure adequate recognition of financial transactions.
  • Control Weakness Identification: Identify control weaknesses and participate in recommending changes to tighten and enhance controls to the Corporate Controller.
  • Accounting Research and Analysis: Conduct accounting research and analyses on an ad hoc basis.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent from an accredited university required.
  • Consolidation & reporting experience required.
  • Big four or leading public accounting background preferred.
  • 3-4+ years of total work experience.
  • CPA preferred.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills.
  • Advanced excel skills required.
  • Knowledge of Hyperion (HFM) or other consolidation tools.
  • Working experience in general ledger and financial statements, a plus.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with a high level of difficulty.
