Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated RN specializing in Medical/Surgical nursing to deliver exceptional care to patients who are ill, injured, or recovering. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to evaluate patient conditions, administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, maintain accurate records, and provide education and support to patients and their families.
As a Medical/Surgical RN, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians during examinations and procedures, performing various patient tests, and administering medications within your scope of practice. Your expertise will also be vital in promoting patient independence by setting care goals and educating patients and families about their conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs of patients.
- Conduct thorough reviews of patient history and physical assessments with patients and/or their families.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to gather and review all pertinent information.
- Develop individualized care plans, including discharge plans, based on assessment data and input from patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor patient progress towards established goals and expected outcomes in partnership with the healthcare team.
- Document assessments, plans, implementations, and evaluations in the patient record.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing.
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- Current certifications as required by the facility.
- Strong foundation in general nursing theory and practice.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain a positive attitude.
