Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and supply all daily assigned rooms, report any damage, mechanical deficiencies, or suspicious activities to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Room Preparation: Clean guest rooms and stock with appropriate supplies in the prescribed manner, following safety and security procedures and regulations.
  • Cart Management: Retrieve, stock, restock, and store the housekeeping cart according to prescribed housekeeping, safety, and security procedures and regulations.
  • Guest Interaction: Respond to guest requests and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report any missing articles, damage, or mechanical problems to the Senior Housekeeper and turn in articles left in rooms.
Requirements
  • Education: No formal education required.
  • Experience: Prior housekeeping experience desirable.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Must be able to communicate in English.
    • Must have the ability to clean rooms during an eight-hour working day.
    • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
    • Ability to meet standards of appearance.
    • Can communicate well with guests.
Work Environment

The Housekeeping Associate will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, with frequent interaction with guests and hotel staff. The position requires constant standing, walking, and bending, as well as the ability to lift and carry heavy objects.

Physical Demands
  • Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/Carrying: Constantly pushing loaded supply cart from room-to-room, carrying tote tray with replacement amenities from department to assigned floor, arranging drapery and replacement linen, carrying dirty linen to laundry shoot, operating vacuum.
  • Bending/Kneeling: Constant bending and kneeling to clean bathroom, vanity, and making beds. Dusting requires bending to reach low areas on furniture.
  • Mobility: Movement to reach all areas of responsibility to include: closet shelves, windows, ledges, pipes, under beds, behind furniture.
  • Continuous Standing: Continuously standing and/or walking to accomplish all that is required for position.
