Job Overview

At Propulsion Controls Engineering LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Inspector I to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in the ship repair industry and contribute to the success of our company.

Estimated Salary Range

$60,000 - $80,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

The Quality Assurance Inspector I will be responsible for conducting inspections and testing to ensure compliance with technical requirements for reliability and quality conformance. This includes scheduling, conducting, observing, recording, and submitting testing and inspection results for work.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.

We require minimum 1-2 years experience in ship repair/shipyard related experience with good mechanical aptitude. Management may determine an applicant qualified and/or may qualify for the position if the applicant has the necessary knowledge and/or certifications to meet the requirements.

Technical Skills and Knowledge
  • Must possess knowledge of ship repair technical specifications and industry requirements supporting the repair of complex and critical systems and equipment.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate (both verbal and written) for coordination, scheduling and completing inspections with; ships personnel, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, customers, and employees.
  • Skilled use of technical measuring and diagnostic equipment. Ensures only calibrated equipment is used in the measurement and comparison of technical requirements invoked by blue prints, technical manuals, government specifications, and various equipment publications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
