The Packaging Engineer Manager will utilize knowledge of process development and packaging technology to create solutions and promote advancements in packaging operations. This technical leader will provide technical documentation, set project priorities, and oversee the creation of packaging materials and supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize knowledge of process development and packaging technology to create solutions and promote advancements in packaging operations.
- Provide and maintain technical documentation, such as guidelines for packaging testing.
- Set project priorities and collaborate closely with the purchasing and commercialization teams.
- Establish KPIs for both the internal team and outside vendors.
- Assume leadership of the packaging group and oversee the creation, testing, and design of the materials and supplies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, packaging science, or packaging field.
- Minimum three years of people management experience and five years of packaging experience.
- CPG background and experience designing films and bags for packaging manufacturers.
- Strong organizational, planning, analytical, and time-management abilities.
- Knowledge of the corrugate industry and its applications.
- Advanced proficiency using a PC.
