Job Summary:

The Lead Angiography/Special Procedures Technologist plays a critical role in ensuring the technical operations of routine and advanced procedures are executed with precision and excellence. As a key member of the radiology team, this individual will oversee the coordination of research and implementation of process improvement projects, providing input to leadership regarding hiring and annual performance appraisals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assists licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional and neuro-interventional procedures.
  • Coordinates work assignments, including on-call schedules.
  • Administers contrast with a power injector as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
  • Assesses patient risk for allergic reaction prior to administration.
  • Selects and operates imaging equipment and associated equipment.
  • Verifies patient's clinical history and completes pre and post-procedural documentation.
Requirements:
  • Associates degree from an ARRT-accredited institute.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (preferred).
  • Certification and Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (preferred).
  • Certification in Vascular-Interventional Radiology (preferred).
  • State licensure (preferred).
  • 2 years of experience in radiology with surgery experience in use of CR.
  • EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience (preferred).
  • Picture archival communication system (PACS) experience (preferred).
