Job Summary:

Equiliem is seeking a skilled CT Scan Technologist to join our team. As a CT Scan Technologist, you will be responsible for performing computer tomography procedures and related techniques, producing sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation. You will also assist with interventional and therapeutic procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs complex CT procedures, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
• Reviews and obtains patient clinical history, documenting information in PACS and ensuring accuracy.
• Prepares, screens, and reviews the accuracy of the contrast questionnaire with patients and/or family members, scanning information into EPIC.
• Identifies and/or administers contrast media related to CT exams as prescribed by licensed practitioners.
• Reviews patient prescriptions to verify appropriateness of exams and communicates with Radiologists and Referring Physicians to obtain additional clinical information or new prescriptions.
• Responsible for calling physicians to clarify prescriptions in accordance with CT protocols.
• Verifies insurance authorized exam scripts and sends exam modification forms to Finance for insurance re-verification.
• Obtains outside studies (CD) and schedules them in EPIC to make reports available in PACS for Radiologists to compare.
• Provides exam copies to patients and requesting physicians and/or family members.
• Evaluates radiographs using PACS to ensure proper identification and diagnostic value.
• Uses consistent and appropriate techniques to gather relevant information from medical records, significant others, and healthcare providers to prepare protocols for scanning and patient safety.

Requirements:

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License.
• ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Six months CT experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Epic and any HIS/RIS system added by the hospital.
