Workover Rig Crew Member Job Description

Brigade Energy Services is a leading Workover Rig company in the United States, seeking a highly skilled Workover Rig Crew Member to join our team in Victoria, TX. As a Workover Rig Crew Member, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our Workover Rigs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in rigging up and down, ensuring all equipment is properly secured and aligned.
  • Perform elevated work associated with rigging up/down, including removing horse heads from pumping units.
  • Responsible for all work related to servicing the well, including rod basket and tubing board operations.
  • Operate tubing elevators to stand tubing in the Derrick.
  • Support the team in picking up or laying down tubing and manually moving tubing between racks and the work floor.
  • Stop work if conditions are unsafe and report concerns immediately, including all hazards or potentially hazardous situations, accidents, incidents, and injuries.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with company policies and procedures and according to safety regulations.
  • May be required to work on floors or derricks on the rig as needed.
  • Perform PPE, fall protection, fall arrest system, harness, derrick, and hoisting component inspections as required.
  • Pull and lay down rods, tubing, casing, and other equipment as needed, using forklifts, winches, or assistance from other crew members.
  • Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and tailgate meetings as scheduled.
  • Responsible for keeping the work site, equipment, and tools clean and in good working order.
  • Assist in the daily inspection and maintenance of equipment.
  • Successfully perform elevator handling, hardline construction, and energy isolation procedures.
  • Report all incidents as per company policies.
  • Drive crew trucks as needed (driver's license and clean driving record required).
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of experience in the oilfield and/or Workover Rig industry.
  • Previous experience working on Workover Rigs is preferred.
