The construction of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is currently in progress, which will serve as a cornerstone for fairlife's future growth as a premier dairy nutrition provider. This facility is set to enhance operational capabilities significantly, with plans to employ 250 new staff members and process approximately 5 million pounds of milk daily.
Role Purpose:
The Utilities Supervisor will oversee the reliability and performance of all plant utility systems and assets, including boilers, steam supply, compressed air systems, water utilities, process chillers, cooling towers, and HVAC systems. This role involves close collaboration with maintenance personnel to provide hands-on support and advanced troubleshooting capabilities. Additionally, the Utilities Supervisor will manage reliability enhancement initiatives and capital projects related to plant utility systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the technical authority for all plant utility systems, offering advanced troubleshooting and support as needed.
- Lead initiatives aimed at improving reliability through the execution of capital projects.
- Standardize and implement tools for situational awareness to monitor plant utilities effectively.
- Oversee local vendors and contractors involved in supporting plant utilities.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage preventative maintenance activities related to utility systems and assets.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Professional demeanor, organized, and capable of effective collaboration.
- Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, or equivalent experience of 10 years.
- A minimum of 8 years in plant maintenance and equipment reliability.
- Proficient understanding of industrial utility systems, including boilers, compressors, and chillers.
- Hands-on experience with plant utility systems.
- Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) such as Tridium, Honeywell, or Niagara.
- Ability to analyze utility trends for troubleshooting purposes.
- Proficient in reading schematics, mechanical and electrical drawings, and P&IDs.
- Experience in PLC programming is preferred.
- Background in capital project management.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Capability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Willingness to reach and bend as necessary to service equipment.
- Exposure to industrial hazards associated with plant utility systems.
Food Safety Responsibilities:
- Report any necessary repairs or adjustments that may impact product quality or food safety.
- Comply with the color-coded container policy while in production areas.
- Fulfill all duties to meet Company, Customer, and Government standards as prioritized by the Company.
- Initiate actions to prevent occurrences of nonconformities related to food safety and product quality.
- Document any issues concerning food safety and quality of ingredients or processes.
- Control the processing or delivery of nonconforming products until deficiencies are rectified.
- In the event of absence, ensure that another qualified employee assumes necessary duties.

Travel Requirements: Initial travel up to 50%, then less than 10%
