Dietetic Therapist

IMS People is seeking a skilled Registered Dietitian to collaborate with our team in Laguna Hills, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of TPN therapy and be able to create customized formulas for patients with unique nutritional requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and modify TPN formulas for patients new to TPN therapy, ensuring each formula meets the patient's nutritional needs.
• Work closely with pharmacists and nurses to adjust TPN formulas for existing patients based on ongoing clinical assessments and changes in their condition.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal nutritional support.
• Provide education and guidance to staff on TPN therapy, including accurate communication to patients regarding their nutritional care.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities related to TPN therapy.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including TPN orders, modifications, and clinical notes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field, with current licensure as a Registered Dietitian.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian.
• Strong understanding of TPN therapy, including formula development and modification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals and educate staff.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a diverse patient caseload.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with TPN therapy in a home infusion setting.
• Familiarity with clinical guidelines and standards for TPN therapy.
