Job Overview:
As a Cable Production Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and preparation of cables, ensuring that all products meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Transport work-in-progress, finished products, and raw materials using forklifts or other equipment as necessary to fulfill orders.
- Understand and interpret customer specifications accurately.
- Ensure correct cut lengths and packaging methods, including reels, boxes, and pallets.
- Read and execute setup sheets, internal procedures, and company policies.
- Accurately label all finished products with the appropriate product codes to prevent delays or errors in shipments.

Assembly and Preparation:
- Prepare cables for assembly and attach the correct connectors.
- Mix and apply epoxy, operate polishing machines, and perform quality checks including end face geometry and insertion and return loss measurements.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with various connector types, fiber types, and cable types is essential.
- Strong teamwork orientation with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.

Housekeeping and Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Color perception is necessary for this role.
- Experience with equipment such as forklifts, cable respoolers, and hand tools is beneficial.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to read and comprehend internal procedures and policies.
- Team-oriented with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and following safe lifting practices.
- Comfortable working in a clean room environment and near moving mechanical parts.
