St Josephs Hospital and Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Travel Nurse RN to join our team in the Visual Medical Unit. This role requires a professional with a strong background in MedSurg, Telemetry, and Psychiatric nursing.
Certification Requirements- ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory.
- COVID-19 vaccination is required.
- Pre-screening by Medical Solutions may lead to an automatic offer if clinical recommendations are met.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of two years experience in MedSurg/Telemetry and Psychiatric nursing.
- Competence in maintaining a sterile field and performing essential nursing skills.
- 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM.
- Every third weekend commitment.
- Participation in permanent staff rotation for holidays, including two out of three major holidays.
- Unit: Visual Medical Unit (VMU)
- Bed Capacity: 14 beds
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: 1:4
- Electronic Medical Records: Cerner
- Charge Nurse: Responsible for both charge duties and patient care.
- Nurse Aides: Support from behavioral health technicians and security monitoring.
- LEVEL I TRAUMA EXPERIENCE is required.
- Candidates must pass the DYS exam prior to acceptance.
- All RNs are expected to complete SIMs Lab training for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.
- The unit specializes in caring for patients with medical conditions and secondary psychiatric diagnoses.
