Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Hazard Assessments: Identify and evaluate potential workplace hazards in industrial hygiene and industrial safety.
  • Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Create and implement safety programs to prevent injuries and illnesses, and ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA standards.
  • Investigate Incidents: Investigate employee health and safety complaints, and recommend solutions to prevent similar incidents in the future.
  • Train and Educate Employees: Provide training and education to employees on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Manage Safety Data: Maintain accurate records of safety data, including incident reports and safety inspections.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with maintenance, engineering, production, purchasing, and shipping departments to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in environmental science, safety, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of one to two years of experience in environmental health and safety, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of Regulations: Sound knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, as well as environmental regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, and high-level interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
