Overview:

Under general supervision, the Certified Respiratory Therapist will deliver essential services for the Respiratory Therapy Department, ensuring timely and efficient care for patients across all age groups in various clinical settings.


Key Responsibilities:
The following responsibilities are fundamental to the role. Failure to perform these duties, with or without reasonable accommodation, may lead to disqualification from the position.
- Administers prescribed therapeutic interventions as directed by the attending medical team.
- Accurately documents treatment details and patient responses in electronic medical records.
- Serves as a knowledgeable resource for medical personnel.
- Conducts both invasive and non-invasive diagnostic assessments and patient monitoring.
- Delivers age-appropriate care tailored to individual patient needs.
- Ensures proper cleaning and maintenance of respiratory equipment.
- Maintains accurate records related to respiratory therapy.
- Participates as a member of the rapid response team for cardiac and respiratory emergencies.

Additional Duties:
Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
- No prior experience is required.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in respiratory care within a critical care environment is preferred.

Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient understanding of Respiratory Therapy techniques and the operation and maintenance of respiratory devices.

- Strong clinical decision-making abilities relevant to patient care concerning pulmonary and cardiac systems, adjusted for patient age.

- Capability to interpret relevant information to assess patient needs.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Capacity to foster positive working relationships with colleagues and staff.
- Basic computer proficiency.

Work Schedule:
Night shifts.
