Housekeeping Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Housekeeping Aide at MT SAN RAFAEL HOSPITAL. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

• Maintain and clean areas designated or assigned, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
• Remove trash and recyclables in a timely and efficient manner.
• Apply quality control procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Participate in an active continuing education program to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
• Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude, working effectively with colleagues and management.
• Follow hospital, housekeeping, and laundry safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Conduct business in a professional and respectful manner, adhering to the highest standards of customer service.

• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • One (1) to three (3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional appearance and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ability to adjust to different situations and follow directions accurately.
  • Ability to prioritize work responsibilities and function effectively as a team member.
  • Willingness to accept instructions and the ability to learn and understand procedures and policies.
• EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
• PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Intermittent movement throughout the hospital.
  • Intermittent use of a keyboard.
  • Ability to lift 30% of body weight or up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to read and understand English.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact with patients, families, and staff in a professional manner.
  • Ability to maintain matters of a confidential nature.
  • Ability to remain calm in crisis situations.
