Manufacturing Heat Treatment Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Heat Treating Operator to join our team at Fastenal. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating heat treatment furnaces, receiving and processing incoming products, and ensuring the quality of our heat-treated parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heat treatment furnaces to process parts to correct written specifications
- Receive and process incoming products, including loading and unloading materials
- Inspect metal parts for hardness and other specifications
- Record and document the processing of materials/parts through the heat treating department
- Report equipment malfunctions and repairs needed to the appropriate authority
Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet driving record requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and sense of urgency
- Lift, slide, carry, and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge or experience of heat treating and induction heating equipment
- Prior forklift or material handling equipment experience
