Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant Float to join our team at Jefferson Health. As a Medical Assistant Float, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians with patient care, performing various diagnostic procedures, and maintaining a smooth operation of the office.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and patient care.
  • Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, and vital signs.
  • Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure proper identification.
  • Document patient information and maintain accurate records.
  • Order clinical supplies and maintain inventory.
  • Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience in a physician office or healthcare setting preferred.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Familiarity with medical office procedures.
  • Ability to travel to various assigned locations.
Conditions of Employment

As a condition of employment, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI fingerprint-based federal criminal records check.
