Job Summary:

The Resident Care Assistant (RCA) plays a vital role in providing personal care and non-personal care assistance to residents with activities of daily living in a manner that enhances their sense of personal choice and autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support residents with personal care needs, including dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercising.
  • Provide mobility support and escort residents as needed.
  • Assist with meal service in the dining room, taking orders, serving meals, and clearing tables.
  • Organize and coordinate activities for residents to meet their daily personal activity needs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by completing tasks such as resident personal laundry, changing bed linens, making beds, light housekeeping, and taking out trash.
  • Accompany residents on excursions or walks and spend time with them doing activities they enjoy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must have and maintain a current First Aid card.
  • Must have or be able to attain a Food Handlers card.
