KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Architect, implement, and oversee Red Hat OpenShift environments and cloud solutions, including Azure.
  • Leverage VMware vSphere and OpenShift technologies to design, configure, and manage containerized applications and microservices.

  • Implement automation processes through Ansible and manage system updates via Satellite server.
  • Diagnose and resolve software performance, security, reliability, and scalability issues.
  • Monitor computing infrastructure proactively and address anomalies effectively.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, QA teams, and stakeholders to ensure the timely and quality delivery of software solutions.
  • Design, develop, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and applications.
  • Work with development teams to ensure infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and secure, integrating new microservices into the deployment pipeline.
  • Facilitate the automation of installations for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products within the architecture.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure and operational processes.
  • Provide support for RHEL/OpenShift platforms and infrastructure at remote business continuity sites and development environments.
  • Ensure the daily backup of related systems is conducted efficiently.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 5 years of experience in Red Hat OpenShift engineering, cloud computing, and DevOps practices.
  • Expertise in managing, maintaining, and deploying OpenShift and containerized applications.
  • Familiarity with various DevOps tools and frameworks, including Jenkins, Maven, Git, Chef, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Proficient in scripting and programming languages such as Perl, Python, and Bash.
  • Understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, and SSH.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and Ansible platform.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work in a DevSecOps environment with an Infrastructure as Code approach.
  • Proven ability in requirements analysis and architectural solution recommendations.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, Ansible, Azure, OpenShift, RHEL, RHEL Satellite Server, Apache, JBoss, SMTP, and DNS is preferred.
  • Familiarity with enterprise monitoring and alerting systems; knowledge of tools like Splunk, OpenSearch, Grafana, and WhatsUpGold is advantageous.
  • Prior experience as a UNIX System Administrator and proficiency with RHEL OS is essential.
  • Ability to read, modify, and create scripts in Bash, CSH, and PowerShell, or SQL queries is preferred.
  • Experience with enterprise storage solutions and an understanding of SAN configurations and RAID types is a plus.
  • Knowledge of LAN, WAN, and network security infrastructure is required; familiarity with Cisco, F5, PaloAlto, and Checkpoint products is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in RHEL/OpenShift/Kubernetes are advantageous.
  • VMware VCP and RedHat RHCA certifications are preferred.
  • Proficient in Linux/OpenShift and scripting languages such as Shell and Python.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to integrate diverse perspectives, build respectful relationships, and resolve conflicts constructively.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
