Job Title: Field/Office Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Field/Office Engineer to join our team at Kiewit Corporation. As a Field/Office Engineer, you will be responsible for interpreting drawings and specifications for field crews and craft, preparing work plans and work packages, and ordering and scheduling material deliveries.

Responsibilities:
  • Interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and craft
  • Prepare work plans and work packages
  • Order and schedule material deliveries
  • Perform takeoffs from drawings, generating change orders reviewed by Project Manager
  • Provide field support and supervise subcontractor operations
  • Review and analyze data relative to the project
  • Complete plans and specification reviews for projects
  • Assist with the preparation of a bid
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Ability to travel and relocate as needed
  • Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in a wide-ranging climate and environment
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
  • Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
  • Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives
