Job Summary:
The GeorgiaGov Public Defender's Office is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Attorney 2 to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional legal representation to indigent clients in Superior Court.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in Superior Court, including preparation and presentation of cases for trials and/or pleas.
- Communicate effectively with clients and advocate defense positions in court and negotiations.
- Perform professional legal work, including assisting in cases of routine complexity.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of effective defense strategies.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university.
- License to practice law in the State of Georgia or eligibility to sit for the next Georgia Bar examination.
- One year of relevant legal experience, or one year of experience as an Attorney 1.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Criminal law experience.
- Membership in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia.
