Position Responsibilities

The panel builder will play a crucial role in the installation of machine controls on our custom automation systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Constructing and wiring electrical panels from the ground up by interpreting electrical schematics.
  • Executing field wiring to connect either the panel I/O or field-mounted I/O devices.
  • Performing pneumatic plumbing, with the ability to read and comprehend pneumatic schematics.
  • Mounting electrical control components onto machinery and fabricating necessary mounting brackets.
  • Reading and understanding electrical schematics effectively.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, determining corrective actions, and repairing systems as needed.
  • Ensuring all equipment is operational following troubleshooting efforts.
  • Conducting preventative maintenance and diagnostics on automation systems and their components.
  • Providing management with regular updates on the status of assigned projects.
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with some coursework in college or technical school.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in wiring automated systems.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools, as well as testing equipment related to panel building tasks.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
