Pharmacy Technician Job Description

The Upper Mattaponi Tribe is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at the UMT and Aylett Family Wellness outpatient pharmacies in King William County, Virginia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and providing patient care services.
  • Process prescription orders and adjudicate insurance claims.
  • Verify patient identities and maintain accurate records.
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement activities and training of peers.
  • Participate in effective inventory management and demonstrate good mathematical and computer skills.

Requirements:

  • Current pharmacy technician license required.
  • Two years of experience as a licensed pharmacy technician preferred.
  • Ability to work at the top of their license to assist in improving patient outcomes and medication access.
