Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Transportation Assistant to join our team at Summersville Healthcare Center. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of residents to and from various appointments and activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport residents to and from outside physician visits in a safe and timely manner.
  • Assist with transporting residents within the facility to scheduled specialty appointments.
  • Provide one-on-one monitoring for residents deemed an elopement risk on outside visits.
  • Transfer and lift residents as needed.
  • Perform basic nursing care procedures for residents as required.
  • Maintain resident documentation records.
  • Adhere to established departmental, center, and corporate policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Current, valid Driver's License in the state of employment.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • Red Cross First Aid Certificate.
  • Prior work/life experiences involving independent decision making.
  • Prior work/life experiences in healthcare or a service industry.
