Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Dentist to join our team at the Department of Health and Human Services. As a Dentist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, including examining, diagnosing, and treating dental diseases and health problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine patients to diagnose dental diseases and health problems
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address dental health issues
  • Provide preventive dental care, including cleanings and fluoride treatments
  • Diagnose and treat malocclusions and other oral health issues
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families to understand their dental health needs
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Requirements
  • Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited institution
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States
  • Completion of a 2-year residency program in dentistry, oral health, craniofacial sciences, or a related medical science
  • At least 2 years of experience in dentistry, including experience in evaluating, preventing, diagnosing, and treating diseases, injuries, and disorders of the oral cavity and maxillofacial area
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to communicate effectively with patients and families. The selected individual must be able to distinguish shades of color and must be willing to work in a clinical setting.
