Job Overview

Methuen Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team in the Northeast region.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

The Pipefitter will play a critical role in the installation and maintenance of various piping systems, working closely with our team to ensure high-quality results.

  • Bolt up and align flanged piping systems
  • Install gaskets and layout piping systems
  • Bevel and groove ductile iron and steel pipe
  • Weld process piping systems
  • Cut and fabricate spool pieces
  • Sweat/solder non-potable water piping
  • Thread/cut pipe
  • Glue and assemble plastic piping
  • Cut/fuse and assemble PVDF piping
  • Bevel, cut, fit piping prior to welding
  • Install small diameter tubing for instrumentation and controls
  • Install prefabricated or pre-manufactured pipe supports, including anchors
Requirements
  • High school diploma or vocational training, and/or relevant work experience
  • Minimum 1-3+ years of experience in the construction industry
  • MA pipefitter license(s)
Work Environment/Physical Demands
  • Lift 50 pounds
  • Stand for extended periods, safely maneuver around equipment and vehicles
  • Regularly encounter moving parts, precarious places, fumes, airborne particles, and outside weather conditions
  • Climb stairs, ladders, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, balance, stoop, reach regularly
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, adjust focus
Travel and Accommodations

Local travel primarily; occasional out-of-state and overnight travel expected (less than 20% travel).
