Job Summary:
LocumTenens is seeking an experienced Anesthesiologist to provide locum tenens coverage at an Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) in New York. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in anesthesia care and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate activities in the Anesthesia Department
- Manage patients under anesthesia
- Perform pre-anesthesia assessments
- Obtain and verify patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks
- Manage anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergence
- Monitor patients' physiological conditions
- Perform clinical interventions as needed
Requirements:
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine
- ECFMG certification
- FLEX certification
- Completion of an approved residency in Anesthesia
- Current physician license
Work Environment:
The ASC operates 2-4 operating rooms at a time, along with one Endoscopy suite and an Obstetrics unit, using paper charting. The privileging process takes 60-90 days. The schedule for this position is from 7 AM to 5 PM, with long-range call duties and minimal call backs.

Supervision Model:
