Job Title: Teacher Aide

Join the City of Hallandale Beach, FL team as a Teacher Aide and contribute to the development and supervision of program participants' tutorial/educational needs.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to provide tutorial and general program assistance in the development and supervision of program participants' tutorial/educational needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with school age children and possess a strong understanding of educational principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tutorial and general program assistance to program participants
  • Assist in the development and supervision of program participants' tutorial/educational needs
  • Work closely with certified teachers and teacher assistants to deliver effective instruction
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of experience and/or training working with school age children
  • National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification
  • CPR and basic first aid training
  • Florida Department of Children and Families required early childhood education, teacher assistant, and/or childhood development associate certifications
