Job Summary:

UK HealthCare Sports Medicine is seeking a dedicated and experienced Athletic Trainer to provide daily coverage for assigned sports at a prominent university. This exciting opportunity entails working with both our Volleyball and Softball Programs, requiring a strong understanding of sports medicine principles and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily coverage for assigned sports, including pre- and post-game care, injury assessment, and treatment.
  • Develop and implement injury prevention programs, including conditioning exercises and educational workshops.
  • Collaborate with coaching staff, athletic trainers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for student-athletes.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for enhanced performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest sports medicine research, best practices, and industry developments.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
  • Current certification as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sports medicine, preferably in a university or college setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
