Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Operator to join our team at Genpak. As an Extrusion Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our extrusion equipment, ensuring high-quality production and adhering to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain extrusion equipment, including start-up and shut-down procedures.
  • Monitor and control the extrusion process, ensuring consistent quality and production rates.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, including cleaning and lubricating moving parts.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues, working with maintenance teams as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of production, quality, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth operation and meet production targets.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of extrusion processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This role will be based in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to machinery, chemicals, and other hazards. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols at all times.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
