We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at Barton Associates. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch dental care services to our patients.

Job Summary

In this rewarding position, you will be responsible for performing prophylaxis treatments, conducting scaling and root planing procedures, providing deep cleaning services, taking and processing dental x-rays, performing periodontal probing, removing plaque and tartar, and assisting with patient education on oral hygiene.

The ideal candidate will possess a valid Dental Hygienist license in Vermont and have experience working in community health settings. Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures is essential, and anesthetic certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform prophylaxis treatments, including teeth cleaning and polishing.
  2. Conduct scaling and root planing procedures to remove plaque and tartar from teeth.
  3. Provide deep cleaning services to promote healthy gums and prevent disease.
  4. Take and process dental x-rays to diagnose and monitor oral health issues.
  5. Perform periodontal probing to assess gum health and detect any signs of infection.
  6. Remove plaque and tartar from teeth using specialized instruments.
  7. Assist with patient education on oral hygiene techniques and best practices.
Requirements
  • Valid Dental Hygienist license in Vermont.
  • Experience working in community health settings (preferred).
  • Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures.
  • Anesthetic certification (preferred but not required).
