Job Summary

The Adecco Healthcare and Life Sciences team is seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our client's Ambulatory Surgery Center in Bergen County, New Jersey. As a key member of the surgical team, you will provide expert assistance to surgeons and maintain a sterile environment during procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and well-being
  • Prepare and assemble sterile supplies and instruments for surgical procedures
  • Handle and dispose of contaminated items properly
  • Demonstrate knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment
  • Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment and supplies
  • Anticipate and respond to procedure needs in a timely manner
  • Protect patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
  • Certification or Registry as a Surgical Technologist (state-dependent)
  • One year of experience in an operating room setting
  • CPR certification within six months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and abnormal conditions
  • Proficiency in surgical instrumentation and equipment
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing conditions
