We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Operations Manager to join our team at Walgreens. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our pharmacy department, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the selection, scheduling, and development of pharmacy technicians, including training, coaching, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and company policies, including Good Faith Dispensing and asset protection techniques.
- Manage core pharmacy workflow, drive excellence in pharmacy operations, and coordinate daily schedules of activities.
- Prepare and file reports and records required by the company and government agencies.
- Assist with healthcare service offerings, including administering vaccines, health screenings, and other services allowed by law.
- Exercise independent judgment to delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work in the pharmacy, ensuring tasks are completed on-time and holding others accountable for efficient workflow.
- Manage annual inventory preparation, maintain accurate processing of insurance claims, and resolve customer issues.
- Communicate prescription errors to the accountable pharmacist and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Participate in key store/pharmacy meetings, including 5-minute meetings and weekly check-ins with the Store Manager.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
- One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
