Modern Restaurant Group seeks a highly skilled Culinary Leader to lead their kitchen team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of kitchen management, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.

A competitive salary in the range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year is offered, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning and Direction:

• Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities.

• Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards.

• Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs.

• Supervise kitchen staff's activities.

Leadership and Communication:

• Lead by example and maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.

• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, management, and other departments.

Problem-Solving and Adaptability:

• Spot and resolve problems efficiently.

• Stay up-to-date with cooking trends and best practices.

Administrative Duties:

• Perform administrative duties such as payroll, timekeeping, and inventory management.

• Maintain accurate records and reports.

Requirements:

• Proven working experience as a head chef.

• Excellent record of kitchen management.

• Ability to lead and motivate a team.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Working knowledge of computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS).

• BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate.
