Position Overview:

Soliant is looking for a committed and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in an educational environment. The successful candidate will be dedicated to fostering effective communication skills among students and will collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to enhance student achievement.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Perform thorough speech and language evaluations to determine student needs. Utilize assessment findings to create tailored Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and intervention strategies.
  • Therapeutic Services: Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students facing communication challenges. Implement evidence-based methods to improve students' speech, language, and overall communication capabilities.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Partner with classroom instructors, special education personnel, and other professionals to weave speech and language objectives into the educational framework. Engage in multidisciplinary team discussions to review student progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
  • IEP Management: Formulate, execute, and oversee IEPs for students with speech and language requirements. Ensure that goals are customized to meet each student's specific needs and are regularly assessed and updated.
  • Parental Involvement: Liaise with parents and guardians to share insights regarding their child's development and offer strategies for fostering speech and language growth at home. Provide resources and support to assist families in enhancing their child's communication skills.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain precise and current documentation of therapy sessions, assessments, and progress reports. Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations and standards.
  • Ongoing Education: Keep abreast of the latest trends and advancements in speech-language pathology. Engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid state license in Speech-Language Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Experience: Experience in an educational setting is advantageous but not mandatory. Familiarity with a variety of speech and language disorders is beneficial.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Capacity to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of educators and professionals. Proficient in assessment tools and developing individualized therapy approaches.
