About the Role

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of facilities, including offices, common areas, and restrooms
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting
  • Restock supplies and materials as needed
  • Assist with special events and projects as required
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient work environment

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous custodial experience preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
