Position Overview:

As a Senior Virtualization & VDI Administrator, you will play a crucial role in enhancing system resilience and efficiency, ultimately enabling the development of advanced capabilities. Your expertise in network engineering, systems administration, or software development will be invaluable in this position.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Department of Defense (DoD) to design and implement robust systems through the establishment of a resilient infrastructure.
  • Enhance system reliability by building redundancy, deploying monitoring tools, and automating processes wherever feasible.
  • Minimize manual tasks by scripting routine operations and implementing self-repair mechanisms.
  • Utilize your knowledge in virtualization and systems architecture to mentor junior engineers and expand your technical skills.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with VMware and Horizon VDI in secure, isolated environments.
  • Strong understanding of virtualization technologies and computer systems.
  • Proven ability to conduct ongoing performance optimization, including hardware, hypervisor, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Experience in installing, configuring, managing, and monitoring VDI components.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements for virtualization systems under DoD SAP security standards.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining operational procedures for VDI environments.
  • Possession of a Top Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Security+ or higher DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing and executing testing strategies, along with diagnosing and troubleshooting virtualization infrastructure issues.
  • Familiarity with zero and thin client management and virtual application management.
  • Knowledge of storage and network systems, including active directory, DHCP, DNS, and virtualization optimization techniques.
  • Possession of VMware or other industry-recognized certifications.

Security Clearance:

Applicants selected for this position will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a Top Secret clearance is required.

The salary for this position is determined by various factors, including location, education, skills, and experience. The projected compensation range for this role is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 annually.

Work Environment:

Our culture emphasizes flexibility and collaboration, whether in-person or remote. If this position is remote or hybrid, you will occasionally work from a Booz Allen or client site facility. If onsite, you will engage with colleagues and clients in person as required.
